This music is the exploitation of various standard musical instruments, played in unorthodox ways, to create a language of unusual pitches, timbres, textures and sounds, within the parameters of each instrument and performer. These works are a combination of improvisation and composed music. Each instrument occupies its own rhythmic and textural space, and operates separately from one another, creating an organic and flowing polytemporal time-space.
Izzl (pronounced izzle) - is a work for acoustic instruments. It features: piano, guitar, clarinet, kalimba, violin, cello, and percussion, played in an unusual manner.
Time Window - is a piece inspired by a visual work by Aaron Butler called 'Window with Time Machine' (link below). It was performed on a electric guitar using various glass, wood, metal, plastic, and electronic devices to give each voice a unique sound.
