State of Mind is a multi-dimensional soundscape of acoustic instruments. It is an improvisation of an impression that was going on inside my head at the time. A journey into my State of Mind, if you will. All instruments were "performed" by me using extended techniques and mostly percussive approaches to the instruments I had at hand. Guitar- using 6" nail, altered tuning, harmonics, as a drum
Violin- bowed and pizzicato
Piano- playing inside the piano and using plastic brushes
Cello- bowed and pizzicato, also as a drum
Violin- bowed and pizzicato
Saz- playing as a drum, with 6"nail, and plucked using altered tuning
Drum kit- using plastic brushes and hands, shakers

Divoc 91 is an ear-bending, other-worldly improvisation for Cello and Piano. This was performed one afternoon at the beginning of the Covid 19 outbreak in 2020 which inspired the music and the title.
